Culter Fuller came back into my life on the day my mother died, as if losing my mother wasn't bad enough.

We hated each other since childhood. Well, I hated him. He had a very different story.

When I moved to my dad's house to finish my last semester of high school, we went from bitter enemies to. . . something else. He was suddenly everywhere, occupying my space, determined to pull me into his life, filling me with thoughts I knew were wrong.

I knew that soon we would cross a line that should never be crossed.

I knew crossing that line could have very serious consequences; because Culter Fuller wasn't just any irresistible boy, Culter Fuller was my stepbrother.

But, I was always very bad at making the right choices.

Review:
Making Bad Choices by Rita Stradling is a YA/NA contemporary romance. The book is narrated by Cassie whose mom has been in a long battle with cancer. After losing her mom when she's 18, Cassie had to move across the country to live with her Dad, stepmom Jen, half-brother Josh, and step brother Culter.

Now, Culter used to treat Cassie badly when they were young, or so Cassie thought. But when they met again after Cassie's mom's death, Culter seemed like an entirely different person. He treated Cassie with care and always put her first. Cassie was really cautious with him, wondering when this "peace truce" would end. But it turned out that really is how Culter is.

School wasn't exactly pleasant for Cassie, being in the same school and sharing many same classes with Culter. Weird and forbidden thoughts were in Cassie's mind but she always tried to push them to the back of her head. Being around Culter seemed to do things to her.

As Cassie and Culter got closer, Cassie tried to keep things under wraps but rumours started flying around school. Also, there was some mysterious thing going on between her Dad, step-mom and the other adults. What exactly happened that Cassie wasn't aware of? As things started spiralling out of control, more was revealed and it was jaw-dropping in my opinion.

Overall this was a really well written story in the true Rita Stradling style. I'm a fan and will happily read more of Rita's works.
